Every journey begins with a single decision.
For us, it wasn’t just to start a coffee company it was to build something that brings people together through exceptional coffee, intentional living, and meaningful connection.
Divine Intervention Coffee was founded by Tiffany Riley and Luis Aguilar with a simple belief: morning intention matter. The way we begin each day shapes everything that follows, and coffee has the power to transform an ordinary routine into a meaningful ritual.
That belief became the foundation of our company.
Our Journey
Before entering the coffee journey Tiffany built a career in healthcare, including natural medicine, earning a doctorate in oriental medicine, academic training in South Korea, and serving as a 911 paramedic in Florida.
Luis built a career in construction management with a specialization in the electrical industry. Luis grew up with deep family roots in Río Bravo, Tamaulipas, giving the founders a unique connection to both sides of the border.
Together, they combined their different experiences with one shared vision: create a coffee company that inspires people to live with intention while celebrating the communities and farmers behind every cup.
Great coffee begins long before it reaches your cup.
To better understand coffee from its source, Tiffany and Luis traveled through coffee producing regions, meeting growers, exploring farms, and learning firsthand how climate, elevation, soil, and craftsmanship influence every harvest.
Their travels led them through producing regions in Mexico, Costa Rica, Portugal, and Italy, while spending significant time learning about Mexican coffee from Veracruz, Oaxaca, and Chiapas.
Every coffee we offer is selected not only for exceptional flavor but also for the people and communities behind it.

When it came to build our first physical location, we didn’t choose the biggest market.
We chose the place that felt like home.
Río Bravo offered something we couldn’t find anywhere else: a community built on relationships, entrepreneurship, and genuine support for local businesses.
As shared in our recent media feature, we saw an opportunity to invest in a city where our business could become part of something bigger than itself.
Today, Divine Intervention Coffee is transforming a former nightclub into a destination centered around coffee, culture, creativity, and community.
We’re not simply opening a cafe. We’re creating a place where conversations begin, ideas grow, friendships form, and every visitor feels welcome.
